Some people say that our government is inefficient and our laws are too old. Some complain that the municipality does not pick up the garbage and our phones don't work. According to a few, the railways are a joke, the airline is the worst in the world and mails never reach their destination.

People say, say and say. What do they do about it?

They come back to the parking lot and punch their parking ticket if they have overstayed in a restaurant or a mall, irrespective of their status and identity.  We Indians won't dare to eat in public during Ramadan, in Dubai. We, who can respect and conform to a foreign system in other countries but cannot in our own. If we, who can be the law abiding citizens in an alien country, why cannot we be the same in our own land?

Everybody is there to abuse and exploit the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is mortgaged to money. J.F Kennedy rightly said, 'Ask not what the country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country'.

This Diwali, Let Us Smash The Traditional Vices

It was Sunday morning, the day most of the people look forward to. But it was not the case with Razia. She woke up heavy-heartedly. Reason- It was Diwali time, and unfortunately due to some or the other reason, she always finds herself in her hometown, Delhi, which off late has been popularly known as the 'gas chamber'.

Nearly half of Delhi's kids suffer from 'severe' lung problems due to the deteriorating air quality and Razia is one among those hugely populated children who fall in this unfortunate category. She suffers from asthma, and therefore can't stand …

A school trip is always a memorable one, but when it is to such a pious place, than it gets all the more interesting. To be honest, we went off from school in a picnic mode. We were all so excited and pumped up. We were sitting in the buses and there were mimicries being done and songs being sung.

Don't Quit- Poem

Since last few days I've been listening to various poems by the budding poets around the globe and enjoyed most of them. But then I came across this one which was so serene and motivating, that I really couldn't resist myself from sharing it with you guys. It somewhat goes like this:

When things go wrong as they sometimes will When the road you're trudging seems all uphill When the funds are low and the debts are high And you want to smile, but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit,  Rest, if you must, but don't you quit. Life is queer with it's twists and turns, As everyone of us sometimes learns And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out; Don't give up though the pace seems low You may succeed with another blow Often the gold is nearer than, It seems to be a faint and faltering man. Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victor's cup And he learnt too late when the night slipped down, How close he …
