Astounding Yourself

Thomas Edison once said-'If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we will literally astound ourselves'. A brilliant insight. It has been observed that the biggest obstacle faced by a person in his/her journey towards self-development is not the obstacles thrown at him/her by the family, peers or society. These are something which we can easily overcome, provided that we are willing to fight our way through it. The problem is that one doesn't believe in oneself.

If you are going to achieve anything in your life, you have to convince a person that you have what it takes to get what you want. You have to convince  a person that no matter how bad it is, or how bad it gets, you are not gonna throw in the towel quickly. If you are able to convince that person all this, wonders will start happening in your life.

Well that person is not a sage or an opulent guy, but he is the person whom you see everyday in the mirror. Yes, it's you. Nobody else needs to convinced about your abilities other that you. You are not powerless, on the contrary, you are powerful beyond measure. The problem is that one does what he thinks he can do, not the things which he really can. Nobody is going to believe in you, until you start believing yourself.Surely, if you do it, the result which you will produce would definitely astound you.

The 2X3X Mindset

Does the title seems to be a bit abstruse. Let me break it down for you. This is something which I learned a few moths ago and guess what? It is doing wonders in my life! This principle states that if you want to  double  your income and your impact in your organisation, then you must  triple  your investment in your self-development.  You can't be progressing in your career if you are not willing to work on yourself and strive to be a better version of yourself with each passing day. What you'll have 2 years from now, 5 years from now,10 years from now solely depends on what you become and what are the things which you are willing to sacrifice today.  Your income hardly exceeds your self worth and once you acknowledge this very fact, you'll start realising that there is a very urgent need to start learning new skills and be very competitive. There are innumerable things which are out there in the world which can aide you reach your desired position. Be

Learning From Nature

The civilisation is trying to destroy it, But for our children, we've got to preserve it. The lush green grassland uplifts our mood, We owe to it a lot as it provides us with nutritious food, And helps to replenish water with its phenomenon called rain, Equanimity is the thing which it helps us to maintain. It rises above discrimination, giving plenty to all, We humans can learn from it who cheer from others' fall. Inspiring it is, service is its legacy, Will we ever shed our ignorance and reach out to the nature ? Well, hopefully! The last two words of this poem always ignites a sense of optimism within me that one day we will be able to comprehend the true value of nature rather than hurting it when it pleads for mercy; that one day we will take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the rainbow and the serenity of the sunrise ascending gently above the horizon rather than turning our backs onto it, missing out those small moments which really constitute a happy lif

Why I like the books of Dan Brown

We have all at one point in our lives regarded ourselves as bibliophiles. We have all been in a place where we get so engrossed into our literary paperbacks that the reality seems to be a at a far distant from us. You might have already, that I am no exception. I consider myself as a voracious reader of books who reads various genres since I don't want to deprive myself of the magnum opus of the literary greats in their respective subjects. Off late, I have been reading a lot of thriller books and who else could be better that the 'master of thriller', Dan   Brown . Literally guys, I have fell in love with his books! He has cracked the 'bestseller' code. The protagonist, Robert Langdon, a Harvard symbiologist, who strives to decipher seemingly impossible codes and tasks to save the planet. He is no less than a superhero for me, who unlike other superheroes, uses his brainpower rather than muscle power to get things done. Enigmatic puzzles and a complet
