How to Dominate your field

Image result for domination quotesThere was a time when we used to categorise people under two heads:
1) Those who sit idle and hardly put in the work, having no interest in refining oneself and helping to raise one's standard of living.
2) Those who work and try to compete with others to have a sense of supremacy.
At that time, people who were under the second head used to be the elite class. The people who always try to compete against the herd.
But now the times have changed. The people under the first head are the ones who are officially broke while the people of the second head have been categorised as average, who only participate in a competition without having any significant impact on the process.

Over the years, a new breed of people have emerged who are nothing like the above mentioned groups. These people are relentless, who always try to disrupt the status quo. These are the people who are way past ahead of competition and seek complete domination. Every person in this world aspires to dominate his field, smashing up the competition and create a monomaniacal obsession towards his work. For those who are aiming to get there, I wish to share some advice with you which may help you in your journey of mastery. First and foremost, you must have the realisation that you have all the power inside of you to turn your dreams into a reality. You must be committed to your dreams and vow to yourself that no matter how bad it is or how bad it gets, you will not lose hope and strive every single day to get a step closer to your dream.

Now, after having that realisation, some might say that you should start thinking positive thoughts and think of holding your dream in your hand. But fortunately, I don't hold that opinion which will stagnate you. I would highly recommend you to do the toughest part of the process right away i.e. Work. One does not get the things which he seek by wishful thinking or positive thinking. I firmly believe that if you want something, then you've got to put in the hard freaking work and go all out to get what you want. Putting in hard work will not ensure you of reaching your desired position in life unless you learn to OUTWORK others.

Elon Musk didn't get here by putting some work then resting on his couch. He outworked others. This is the only way I know of sure shot success. Let me conclude by a quote which best describes my thoughts:
You've got to be willing to do the things today others won't do, in order to have the things tomorrow, others won't have.
Hope it was of help to you.

The 2X3X Mindset

Does the title seems to be a bit abstruse. Let me break it down for you. This is something which I learned a few moths ago and guess what? It is doing wonders in my life! This principle states that if you want to  double  your income and your impact in your organisation, then you must  triple  your investment in your self-development.  You can't be progressing in your career if you are not willing to work on yourself and strive to be a better version of yourself with each passing day. What you'll have 2 years from now, 5 years from now,10 years from now solely depends on what you become and what are the things which you are willing to sacrifice today.  Your income hardly exceeds your self worth and once you acknowledge this very fact, you'll start realising that there is a very urgent need to start learning new skills and be very competitive. There are innumerable things which are out there in the world which can aide you reach your des...

Why I like the books of Dan Brown

We have all at one point in our lives regarded ourselves as bibliophiles. We have all been in a place where we get so engrossed into our literary paperbacks that the reality seems to be a at a far distant from us. You might have already, that I am no exception. I consider myself as a voracious reader of books who reads various genres since I don't want to deprive myself of the magnum opus of the literary greats in their respective subjects. Off late, I have been reading a lot of thriller books and who else could be better that the 'master of thriller', Dan   Brown . Literally guys, I have fell in love with his books! He has cracked the 'bestseller' code. The protagonist, Robert Langdon, a Harvard symbiologist, who strives to decipher seemingly impossible codes and tasks to save the planet. He is no less than a superhero for me, who unlike other superheroes, uses his brainpower rather than muscle power to get things done. Enigmatic puzzles and a complet...

The Journey

Pretty soon, I will see myself at the brink of embarking upon a new journey, a journey that will give exposure and inputs to my mind, the one that leads to realizing my capabilities, making be firm, bold and undeterred by the opinions of others. Taking the road less traveled has always been a phrase which we love to read, but I find that experiencing, it requires a lot more courage. It's always difficult to start your journey to a place which you've only read about, but never encountered before. There is a pride in my visage that this journey will help me to grow, but I won't deny the dread growing slowly at the back of my mind regarding whether I am fully prepared for it or not. Material success is necessary, but it means little when it is not complemented with the right values which one holds. My near and dear ones have made sure that I don't lose my values when people have something tempting to offer. Numerous dreams are riding on my shoulder, but ...
